Seaford Extension

The original house layout on the first day of works on site

This project provides a good example of a typical domestic job completed by CRB. The clients consulted with a local architect and, once drawings were complete, requested tenders. CRB carry out five to ten domestic house extensions like this every year, so are well-versed in all the various requirements for modern buildings and older buildings alike. The key to extending a property is careful selection of materials. At this property in Seaford, a great effort was made to select the right bricks and window design, to ensure the extension complemented the original structure. Meanwhile, the architect selected a contrasting tile for the new lower bay roof, to help draw the new building into the old. The result is, it is difficult to apprehend which parts are new and which original. Internally, we constructed a new master suite with a beautiful en suite in which we used high-end Italian mosaic tiles. This type of project shows how CRB’s multi-talented workforce and dedicated project managers realise a client’s vision: smooth and stress-free building with a stunning end result.
