Plasters in Hailsham

CRB Contractors are based in Eastbourne so know all areas of East Sussex really well, having worked all over. We are always happy to carry out plastering work in Hailsham and all the surrounding areas

Traditional Plastering:

CRB utilises many different plastering techniques. These range from modern lightweight plasters to conservation-approved styles using chestnut lathes overlaid with horse hair lime plaster. In certain listed properties, knowledge of lime-based plaster is essential for matching and meeting the conservation requirements. CRB's also has plasterers who specialise in the most modern plastering techniques, as detailed below.

Drylining:

This is the term given to modern wall-finishing techniques using plasterboard and lightweight plasters. Drylining is now the most common internal wall construction technique. The applications for drylining have recently expanded; more types of performance plasterboards offering improved sound, fire and moisture-resistance are now available.

Rendering:

Render is a growth area in construction, owing to improvements and advances in through-coloured renders. CRB installs through-coloured renders from manufacturers such as K Rend and Weber. These products offer a wide range of coloured finishes, and, where used, the finished render never needs painting. CRB also installs traditional cement-based renders, which are mixed on site or delivered to site for larger-volume works. We have the skills necessary to provide finishes to traditional render where stone block imitation works are specified.

Damp Proofing:

CRB employs tradesmen experienced in installing and designing damp-proofing systems. Many buildings, particularly older structures, suffer from damp ingress. CRB believes in prevention rather than cure wherever possible, so we invest time and effort in finding the root cause of every damp problem we are called in to repair. Often, this results in our preventing damp ingress at source, in which cases damp-proofing is not required. Where damp proofing is required, CRB is able to install tanking slurries and, via our approved specialist sub contractors, offers membrane systems and chemical injection damp-proof courses. Working alongside these sub-contractors, CRB provides the full, completed project with a guarantee - the elimination of damp ingress.
